Burnt Pink is an independent illustration and screen-printing studio based in Amsterdam, created and run by me, Polina.

I make playful illustrations and turn them into screen-printed clothing, stickers, prints and other little things. A lot of my work inspired by everyday experiences, my favorite music and all the weird little things that catch my attention.

why Burnt Pink?

The name comes from a bit of a contradiction.

I like cute, soft, pink things, but I’m also very emo and like dark, spiky things just as much.

I like that these things can exist together.

Burnt Pink comes from that same idea of mixing things that don't necessarily seem like they belong together — soft and rough, cute and strange, sweet and a little bit burnt.

I started Burnt Pink because I wanted to make things that I would genuinely want to wear, stick on my laptop, put on my wall or give to a friend.

These days I draw, prepare screens, mix inks, screen print, pack orders and do all the other slightly less glamorous bits that come with running a tiny studio.

Everything is made in small batches in my Amsterdam studio, which means I get to be involved in pretty much every part of the process.

And honestly, that's my favourite part.
